This was a fun little project that I was unable to finish in time. I was given a limited choice of settings that had to take place in a particular hotel and feature one specific product - and a limited number of pages. Even though I didn't get my script in, I really enjoyed what I came up with. It's still a work in progress, but I think you'll get some laughs.
For The Betterment
I just received an Honorable Mention for my short, For The Betterment, in the 2013 NYC Midnight Competition.
This was a test of my talents as a writer. My first competition opened up a warped corner of my brain that I had no idea existed. I wrote this thing at the final hour after pouring over ideas for almost a week. That's all the time we were given to create a masterpiece with only a few limiting tidbits of information. Never been prouder - or more exhausted.
Tit For Tat
This is a bittersweet addition to my short films collection. Sweet because the couple is adorable and I would be proud to call them my neighbors, but bitter because it should have placed much higher than it did in the competition for which it was created. I know, I know, I'm biased, but it has really exquisite dialogue - that's a quote from one of the judges. I think I got the shaft on this one.
